Composite deck over replaced joists
Rot in the joists had made this deck a genuine safety hazard and a pre-purchase inspection missed it. New structure underneath, composite decking on top.
This transformation is huge. The rotting in the joists was so bad that this had become a serious safety hazard. The previous owner had covered up the rot and the pre-purchase inspection failed to identify any structural issues.
We replaced the rotten timber and installed brand new composite decking on top.
Composite decking is such a great low maintenance option. It's hard wearing and has added protection from the harmful UV of our hot Queensland sun.
